This is an image of Alsek Lake as seen from the shore. It's an area on the Tatshenshini at the southern Alaska/Yukon border, one of the most famous rivers in North America. It's a favorite location among rafting outfitters to take their clients due to its unusual isolation. In this pristine wilderness, two weeks can pass without seeing another human being.
