Join us in September for an inspiring and educational week-long workshop that combines wonderful location shooting with informative lectures, critiques, and hands-on digital darkroom skill-building sessions.

The Olympic Peninsula will be our setting for the entire workshop. From our base in Port Angeles at the Best Western Olympic Lodge (completely renovated in 2008), we will have daily shoots on Hurricane Ridge, the Elwha River Valley, the Sol-duc River Valley, the Hoh Rainforest, the coast at La Push, and the waterfalls surrounding Lake Crescent. Come with us to explore sea stacks, moss-draped forests, and alpine meadows.

On the evening of the 10th we'll gather in our classroom for the week at the Olympic Lodge for an introductory slideshow by all four instructors, a discussion about logistics, carpooling, and basic information to make our week as productive as possible. Tony and Sue will inspire you with their wonderful creative imagery and Keron and Rick will firm up composition and exposure skills.

The classroom will be our setting for daily critiques, hands-on help with image editing, and printing favorite images on the new Epson 2880 13x19 printer! Rick will be giving special topic mini-lectures throughout the week to enhance your archiving and editing skills. Additionally, he'll take us through the Lightroom Print dialogues and assist as needed to make your prints. (Limit 4 prints per student).

As with all our field workshops, we'll have a selection of Canon DSLR Bodies and lenses and Gitzo tripods with Really Right Stuff ballheads available for use to further enhance your creativity.

This will be an active and rigorous workshop. Come prepared to seize the opportunities!

Breakfast is included each day, and we will also have a farewell dinner together. All other meals are on your own. I will have a list of suggested restaurants...and there are easily accessible sandwiches/coffee/snacks just steps from the front door of the hotel. Your room is equipped with a refrigerator and microwave.

Please contact with any questions or requests.
